There are about five amazing meals that my wife and I have shared together over the years that are so memorable we reminisce about them. Now there are six. We ordered the tasting menu and the server told us he preferred not to tell us what was on it, so we could be surprised. Each plate was unique and different and delicious. There were a lot of components on each-- sometimes maybe a little too busy but always an interesting combination of flavors, textures, and colors. We are not really foodies so this meal was like an amusement park ride for our taste buds. The overall meal was completely satisfying and the dessert was exquisite.
This is an upscale place little outside of old quebec. Need to make reservations beforehand (even days before). The service was impeccable. The person who greeted us was friendly, explained us about the tasting menu (i would say quite accurately). She explained us about how they only use locally sourced ingredients. I found that quiet amazing. For drinks, i ordered a cocktail that contained a juice of a locally sourced orange colored berry from Quebec. It was so refreshing. One of the best i ever had. Now let's go onto the food. Every dish had a different taste. My favorite was the venison. The portions were generous for a tasting menu. At the end of it i was feeling quite full.
Phenomenal. I wish I could give it 10 stars! I cannot have gluten or certain foods, and the chefs were accommodating to the point of being generous. Every meal was thoughtfully made and beyond delicious; the local ingredients were superb and the flavor combinations were incredible. It was our anniversary, and our waiter and the kitchen gave us a gluten free dessert platter that was beyond reproach. I can say that I have never been treated with such courtesy by any restaurant, and Christian, our server, was hands down amazing. Meri!
A wonderful place to discover locally sourced small plates. The flavors are incredible! Service is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable. Extensive wine list. Nice, mellow ambiance.
In a word, superlative. Without exaggeration the finest meal I have ever experienced. Max at the bar took time to answer questions, and made my wife and myself feel so welcome. The quality of food is unmatched anywhere, and each dish is prepared with extreme care. Perfection is rarely achieved in restaurants, but this meal was nothing short of perfect. Stop reading reviews and just book a table for tonight, do it now!
